Sylex – Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Sylex. These Terms & Conditions apply to two sides of our business:
Design Services (logo design, branding, graphics, etc.)
Clothing Store (our made-to-order clothing and merchandise)
By working with us or purchasing from us, you agree to the relevant section below.
Section 1 – Design services
Scope of work
You (the Client) are hiring us (Sylex Design) to provide graphic design and/or branding services, which may include:
Logo design (static and/or animated)
Social media graphics
Brand style guides
Video editing (up to 60 seconds)
Visual assets for digital/print use
The exact services will be confirmed in writing (via proposal, invoice, or email). Anything outside that scope may incur additional charges, agreed upon before work begins.
Design process & communication
You’ll have regular opportunities to review work and provide feedback.
Files will be delivered via Google Drive, Dropbox, or another agreed platform.
Feedback is expected within 5 working days to keep things moving.
If feedback is delayed beyond 10 working days, we may pause or consider the project complete.
Revisions
Each package includes [insert number] rounds of revisions.
Minor tweaks (colours, fonts, layout) are fine.
Major changes (new concepts, complete direction shifts) will be charged additionally.
Payment terms
A 20% deposit is required upfront.
Final files are released only after full payment.
All payments are non-refundable.
Refunds are not available once work has started, as time and resources are already committed.
Client responsibilities
To keep things running smoothly, you agree to:
Provide required content (text, logos, references, etc.).
Reply to feedback/review requests within 5 working days.
Communicate openly and respectfully.
If content or feedback isn’t provided in a reasonable time, we may pause or terminate the project.
Intellectual property rights
Once final payment is made, you own the final approved deliverables for business/commercial use.
Sylex Design retains rights to display all work in our portfolio, website, and socials.
We may reuse non-unique assets (fonts, mockups, generic icons).
Working/source files (e.g. PSD, AI) are not included unless agreed in writing.
Confidentiality
We treat any sensitive info you provide as confidential and won’t share it without permission.
Liability & warranties
We work with reasonable skill and care.
We cannot guarantee specific results (e.g., sales, engagement).
Our liability is capped at the amount paid for the service.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Termination
Either party can terminate at any time, with written notice.
If you terminate after work has started → no refunds.
If we terminate (e.g., due to breach, abuse, non-responsiveness), you’ll be invoiced for all completed work, no refunds given.
Force majeure
We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by things beyond our control (illness, power outages, natural disasters, etc.).
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Section 2 – Clothing store
Orders
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
All products are made to order. This means we don’t carry stock — each item is produced individually when you purchase.
Payment
Payment must be made in full at checkout.
All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
We reserve the right to update prices at any time.
Shipping
Orders are fulfilled by our print partners (e.g., Printful).
Shipping times vary depending on location, but most UK orders arrive within 5–10 working days.
International shipping may take longer and may be subject to customs fees/taxes (customer’s responsibility).
Returns & exchanges
Because items are printed on demand, we do not accept returns or exchanges for wrong size or buyer’s remorse.
We replace items only if they arrive damaged, defective, or misprinted.
Claims for faulty items must be submitted within 14 days of delivery with photo proof.
If you order the wrong size, we may offer a discounted re-order at our discretion.
Sizing
A detailed size guide is provided on each product page.
Customers are responsible for checking sizing before ordering.
Cancellations
Orders cannot be cancelled once production has started.
If you need to cancel, contact us immediately at contact@sylexdesign.com — we’ll try, but can’t guarantee.
Liability
Sylex is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, or events outside our control.
We are not liable for indirect losses (e.g., missed gifts, reselling delays).
Our liability is capped at the value of the order.
Intellectual property
All designs, graphics, and branding on products are the property of Sylex Design.
Customers may not reproduce or resell designs without permission.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control (postal strikes, natural disasters, etc.).
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales
