Noctive
A dark, minimal streetwear identity carried by a single monogram.
The brief
Noctive is a streetwear label with a nocturnal name and a matching mood board: monochrome rails, black tees, the kind of São Paulo concept store that sells atmosphere as much as clothes.
The identity needed to work at both extremes — small as a chest embroidery, huge as a shopfront — without a drop of colour.
The challenge
Two colours, no safety net. With no accent to lean on, the mark itself has to carry the personality: proportion, spacing and negative space are the whole toolkit.
The approach
01 / 04- 01
Discovery
We took the references seriously: quiet, architectural, expensive. The brand should feel like the store, not the party.
- 02
Concepts
The N became the focus — two interlocking angled strokes that read as an N at a glance and as a piece of geometry on a second look.
- 03
Refinement
A wide, letter-spaced geometric wordmark was set beneath the monogram, then both were tested light-on-dark and dark-on-light until they held up either way.
- 04
Rollout
Primary lockup, standalone monogram, inverted versions, a diagonal repeat pattern, and a full set of retail applications: tee, carrier bag, blade sign, shopfront and app screens.
The identity
A geometric N monogram with a gap of negative space at its centre — precise enough for a hang tag, bold enough for a window three metres tall.
Near-black and a dusty off-white. That’s the palette. Everything else is restraint.

Digital05The result
An identity that scales from a chest print to a shopfront in one continuous system, delivered in under two weeks.
It’s the most restrained project in the studio’s portfolio, and a useful counterweight: proof that a brand can be memorable with nothing but shape.
